The Tradition Continues

The Washington Center for Internships and Academic Seminars

Now in its 32nd year, The Washington Center for Internships and Academic Seminars is an independent, educational, nonprofit organization serving hundreds of colleges and universities in the United States and abroad. We pride ourselves on providing selected students challenging opportunities to work and learn in Washington, D.C. for academic credit. The largest such program, with more than 70 full-time staff, The Washington Center has over 35,000 alumni, leaders in numerous professions and nations around the world.

Every presidential election year since 1984, The Washington Center for Internships and Academic Seminars has offered two exceptional programs in connection with the Democratic National Convention (to be held in Denver, Colorado, August 17-29, 2008) and at the Republican National convention (to be held in Minneapolis-St. Paul, Minnesota, August 24–September 5, 2008). We are proud to announce the launch of Campaign 2008 The Presidential Academic Seminar Series, a group of four academically tailored seminars surrounding the 2008 presidency from the first presidential caucus to the 2009 inauguration.
